(K-12) Design Thinking Hero: Creating Innovative Learning Design Solutions

An outstanding course because of its structure, content and staff support. I recommend it to anyone wanting to learn the basics of design thinking. Videos, readings and discussions are designed for learners to practice concepts and skills. Regarding staff support I was impressed by their commitment and empathy. Whenever a student shared their concerns about a challenge in their learning process, someone on the teaching staff responded immediately to help them. Another interesting feature is that assignments were revised and graded by the teaching staff. A certificate (PDF) is available for free to learners who complete the course. The course is gamified, so participants are invited to create their avatars and they are awarded points and badges for each activity or mission that is accomplished. Finally, a group was created in google+ for learners to share links and ideas.
