Historical review of the sociocultural and cultural characteristics of Chicanos in the United States. Focus is on the inter-relationships of Chicanos and the society including their immigration history, acculturation, assimilation, minority status and their cultural change, by generation status. Note: Not open to students who have successfully completed CHST B36 or ETHN B36S.
