Prerequisites: Successful completion of BIOL B32 and BIOL B33 and BIOL B16 or equivalents with a grade of C or better. Introduction to the fundamentals of pathophysiology with a focus on the physiologic changes and in the human body resulting from disease processes. Topics include the basic etiology and pathogenesis of disorders by body system, as well as treatments, manifestations, and mechanisms of disease across the lifespan. Diagnostic procedures, preventative measures, and examples of current therapeutic practices are also explored. Note: Not open to student that have successfully completed BIOL B34.
