Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a field that has a long history but is still constantly and actively growing and changing. In this course, you’ll learn the basics of modern AI as well as some of the representative applications of AI. Along the way, we also hope to excite you about the numerous applications and huge possibilities in the field of AI, which continues to expand human capability beyond our imagination.
***Note: Parts of this course are featured in the Machine Learning Engineer Nanodegree and the Data Analyst Nanodegree programs. If you are interested in AI, be sure to check out those programs as well!***
Why Take This Course?
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology is increasingly prevalent in our everyday lives. It has uses in a variety of industries from gaming, journalism/media, to finance, as well as in the state-of-the-art research fields from robotics, medical diagnosis, and quantum science. In this course you’ll learn the basics and applications of AI, including: machine learning, probabilistic reasoning, robotics, computer vision, and natural language processing.

The problem is that the professors seem to talk to themselves. They throw many new concepts in a two minutes videos without explanation. This course is only good if you have the text book by Norvig and Russel. There you will find the desired details. The course sounds more like slides for introducing a textbook than a real course to introduce the concepts. Very confusing and discouraging to start artificial intelligence in that way.

This is one of the earliest online courses created, and its age shows. It is done using pen and paper example held to the camera, which can be hard to follow at times and also which limit the amount of complex work done.
The AI content covered is very high level. The course neither covers the mathematical theory, or the programming application of AI. -
This course helped alot in understanding Aritificial Intelligence quite easily with all the basic and advance level. It let me understood the fundamentals that are the back bone for the atrificial intelligence.

My first experience with open courses. A rare chance to learn from the real masters -- Sebastian Thrun and Peter Norvig. Although, there were not much coding , the class was enjoyable and intellectually challenging.

i've started the courses and Most of the videos doesn't have sound, which is bad
i am so disappointed ... -
It is a cool field. Here, machines try to mimic humans but with lesser or no mistakes. I learnt of the different branches of this field and also the various fields of applications ranging from banking, engineering, medicine to mention but a few. The future is AI. This cannot be debated.
