This class is primarily meant for 18-year-old college freshmen who have never thought about savings, life insurance, or budgeting. I imagine this would be a good class for someone with zero training or life experience, but is just not that useful for anyone older and more experienced. There are definitely some production issues – such as the professor standing in front of the screen so that some of the words cannot be read.

The course is lacking attention of the staff - questions posted don't get answered. The forum participation is a significant part of the grade, and people seem to write meaningless posts just to get points. The overall level of the course as mentioned in another review, is for beginners who have absolutely no prior knowledge. Also, the course is sending me ads on paid program from the university every week, which is annoying.

This is a great introductory overview of financial planning basics for young adults, particularly those in or about to finish college. Thus, this is highly recommended for this population and also for those much older who have yet to learn from their financial experiences (especially failures of any magnitude).

I came into this course with a good amount of knowledge already and found it to be overall very good- especially for those without a solid or even base understanding of personal finance. Dr. Gutter did an awesome job coming up with a course that did…

Audited the course to completion. Good, generic introduction to personal financial management. Doesn't go too deep into topics, and some of the mathematics felt unnecessary for this type of course.

Not interested in finishing this MOOC. It tends to be boring as you go further. Not recommended to others. Hope to see similar topics in the future but have a more enjoyable atmosphere.

Course contents are too lengthy and quite not direct to the point, in my humble opinion. I was able to get some good points thus the rating, but generally it was not framed direct while also being easy to understand. Later parts of the weeks are quite boring. But again, you still can get some good points. You may browse the contents but not worth it to pay for the certificate. It's free to audit if you just want additional learning.

Throughout taking this course I didn't encounter any difficulty in learning and understanding the lecture because the instructor was so good in doing his job and also easy for me to complete every assignments given. For this course, the provided materials were such a big help and useful for me, thank you! The level of difficulty for this course is moderate and I've completed this course.

Moreover, people are curious about alternative solutions. Though, to be honest, they just want to make sure that the product they want to buy is the undisputed king of its category. Also, other users’ experiences aren’t meaningless. Readers want to confront as many opinions as possible before making any actual purchase.

It is one of the courses that interested me because we all need to have this domain and financial organization and I think it would be good to learn a little about it, to benefit me in my life in the future.
