The Royal College of Pathologists via YouTube

Overview

Explore the immunology of COVID-19 and its clinical implications in this expert-led seminar presented by Dr. Alex Richter, Senior lecturer and Consultant in Clinical Immunology at the Institute of Immunology and Immunotherapy. Delve into topics such as the initial viral infection, innate immune response, T-cell and antibody responses, and the use of antibody testing in public health. Gain insights into clinical interpretations, measuring T-cell and B-cell responses, paraprotein production, neonatal antibodies, reinfection possibilities, and post-COVID syndrome. Learn about in-house assays, antibody tests, and the timescale for T-cell response.
