Reshaping the Trajectory of Maternal Health

Where do i begin, so much to take in and unpack. first i like to say great job to Aleta Heard on all her success! so much insightful information lets get into this MMR which is unacceptable especially for Brown women and the why behind it. in the 1800's one out of eight women died and these women had birthing wills. it was like a complete set up for women to fail while giving birth. In the 1900's the twilight birthing while sleeping was forced upon us with not many options to chose from. 39-93% unreported the cover up was in full effect. this is sinful and shameless. the racism of how brown women endure more pain and twice likely to die and lose baby we have the highest MMR. As Birth workers we must continue to come together to be the change. we must definitely have out work cut out and i am happy to be part of making a difference. i love that Aleta mentioned the wrap around care approach that should include the hospitals and insurances so that we can have proper care and have less deaths in our nation.
