This course teaches learners how to implement a model-based software engineering approach in the development of complex embedded systems, using the Joint Strike Missile project as a case study. The course covers transitioning from document-based to model-based engineering, designing and reusing software architectures at a high abstraction level, and generating code to integrate functional software components. The teaching method includes a presentation that walks through the process from requirements to code, sharing experiences and demonstrating the consistency achieved through code generation. The course is intended for software engineers, system architects, and professionals working on complex embedded systems projects.
