Leveraging Generative AI for Data Processing and Database Management

DSDSD - Dutch Seminar on Data Systems Design via YouTube

Overview

Watch a conference talk from Cornell University assistant professor Immanuel Trummer exploring how recent breakthroughs in generative AI can revolutionize data management tasks. Learn about innovative research projects that leverage advanced language processing capabilities for database manual parsing, automated tuning, natural language pattern mining in data, and SQL code synthesis. Discover how tools like ChatGPT are creating new opportunities in data processing and management. Gain insights from Trummer's expertise as an award-winning researcher focused on making large-scale data analysis more efficient and user-friendly, recognized through accolades including the Google Faculty Research Award and selection for prestigious publications like "Best of VLDB" and ACM SIGMOD Research Highlight Award. Originally presented at the Dutch Seminar on Data Systems Design (DSDSD), this 42-minute talk demonstrates practical applications of generative AI in modern data systems.

Syllabus

We hold bi-weekly talks on Fridays from PM to 5 PM CET for and by researchers and practitioners designing and implementing data systems. The objective is to establish a new forum for the Dutch Data Systems community to come together, foster collaborations between its members, and bring in high-quality international speakers. We would like to invite all researchers, especially also Ph.D. students, who are working on related topics to join the events. It is an excellent opportunity to receive feedback early on from researchers in your field.
