Dr. Najeeb Lectures via YouTube
Overview
Explore the intricate world of insulin in this comprehensive 2-hour and 45-minute lecture. Delve into the various types of insulin, its synthesis process, secretion mechanisms, and regulatory pathways. Gain a deep understanding of insulin's crucial role in maintaining glucose homeostasis and its connection to diabetes. Learn about the complex journey from preproinsulin to proinsulin, and finally to active insulin and C-peptide. Discover how insulin synthesis is regulated at both transcriptional and translational levels. Examine insulin's primary function in balancing micronutrient levels during the fed state and its critical role in glucose transport to insulin-dependent tissues such as liver, muscle, and adipose tissue. Enhance your knowledge of this essential hormone and its implications for metabolic health and disease management.

Excellent and useful presentation. All physicians treating patients with T2DM should know the BASIC physiology and pathophysiology of insulin production, secretion, mode of action.
Without the basic knowledge, its impossible to go for proper treatment in patients with dysglycemia and associated comorbidities.
Thanks a lot for such an useful presentation which is most important that it is free of cost.
