Glitched on Earth by Humans - A Black-Box Security Evaluation of the SpaceX Starlink User Terminal

This course provides a black-box hardware security evaluation of the SpaceX Starlink User Terminal (UT). The learning outcomes include understanding the custom quad-core Cortex-A53 System-on-Chip (SoC) used in the UT, the implementation of verified boot based on the ARM trusted firmware project, and the bypassing of firmware signature verification using voltage fault injection. The course teaches skills in evaluating hardware security, analyzing bootloaders, and implementing fault injection countermeasures.
