COURSE OUTLINE: The concept of leadership has been employed within different contexts and at different levels of analysis e.g. self-leadership, small-group leadership, organizational leadership and national leadership. The primary purpose of this course is to serve as a catalyst for the students of leadership’s thinking and dialogue about leaders and the process of leadership.

Management consists of controlling a group or a set of entities to accomplish a goal. Leadership refers to an individual's ability to influence, motivate, and enable others to contribute toward organizational success. Influence and inspiration separate leaders from managers, not power and control.
