Technology of Metals

Chongqing Vocational Institute of Engineering via XuetangX

Overview

Technology of Metals is a subject developed from practice to study metallic materials and their processing methods, and it is a basic technical course required for all majors of machinery in higher engineering colleges and universities. Its content covers metallic materials and heat treatment, casting, forging, welding and other basic knowledge.

The purpose of this course is to enable students to rationally select commonly used metallic materials and heat treatment methods according to the design requirements of mechanical parts, rationally select processing methods, and have certain process analysis capabilities, but also to lay a good foundation for the study of other related courses and engage in the work of production technology.
