Overview

Introduction to the course: The development of orthopedics and traumatology of TCM has a long history, known as "royal surgeon", "incised wound", "fracture", "traumatic disease", etc., which is a clinical discipline integrating prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries and motor system-related diseases in various parts of the human body. This course is intended for undergraduate students majoring in TCM (including TCM, acupuncture and moxibustion, tuina, etc.). Its main contents include the causes and clinical manifestations of injuries, the four diagnostic methods and the examination methods of various parts of the human body, common injuries of orthopedics and traumatology and related treatment methods, etc.

Orthopedics and traumatology of TCM has unique efficacy and remarkable features. The teaching team of this course adopts flexible and interactive teaching methods to cultivate students' interest in learning, form a systematic knowledge framework through the summary of basic theories and post-course evaluation, guide students to apply their knowledge through practical case analysis, cultivate students' clinical attitudes of great medical sincerity and cooperation between doctors and patients through the infiltration of ideological and political elements, and teach to achieve the effect of inferring other things from one fact, improve students' ability to recognize symptom reference and comprehensive thinking ability of orthopedics and traumatology diseases, contribute to the cultivation of high-quality medical talents and successors with both virtues and talents, and to the development of TCM in China.
