Occlusal is a subject closely combined with clinical practice. It focuses on occlusal and describes the morphology, function, functional abnormality, and clinical application of the components of the masticatory system. It is also one of the biological bases of Prosthodontics, orthodontics, periodontal and other disciplines. Occlusal theory is the criterion and basis for oral medical workers to deal with occlusion. In foreign countries (occlusal) has become a new independent discipline, from physiology to pathology, from basic to clinical, theory with practice applied discipline. This course is one of the core contents of Stomatology research. With the development of modern stomatology technology, such as fixed denture restoration, fixed orthodontic treatment, adult orthodontics, implant denture, and so on, how to correctly handle (occlusion) is one of the important contents of Stomatology research. This course will expound the modern views on the physiological and pathological characteristics of occlusion and its clinical application from the basic theory, focusing on temporomandibular joint disorders, and expounding the clinical manifestations, treatment principles, and methods of pathological occlusion. Students complete the teaching syllabus by listening to classes, practicing operation, observing specimens, self-study, teacher guidance examination, and so on.
