Huazhong Agricultural University via XuetangX

Overview

Dogs are the best friends of mankind and are faithful to their owners. Since ancient times, dogs have been renowned for their loyalty. As an old saying goes, “a dog never shuns its owner’s home however shabby it is.” Dogs always follow their owners, protect their interests, and even share weal and woe with them at critical moments. In many countries, various kinds of beautiful dogs have become the most popular family pets.

This course aims to introduce the origin and biological characteristics of companion dogs, the nutrition and feeding methods, dog selection, dog care in special period, beauty care and grooming, behavior training, health care, etc in eight chapters. Through this course, you can not only learn more about companion dogs, but also understand how to tend your dogs appropriately and appreciate your friends’ dogs.

The course is targeted at full-time students of all majors in colleges and universities, students of relevant majors in vocational and technical colleges, pet owners with biology background, technical personnel or pet trainers engaged in pet industry (pet beauty salons, pet supplies stores, pet hospitals, pet training centers, etc.), and other dog lovers.
