In this course, you will learn about the economic environment of the global wine industry, knowledge of winemaking, wine-related regulations and the French AOC classification system, wine tasting and quality assessment, wine marketing, understanding of important French wine-producing regions and wine logistics processes in different units and warehouse management knowledge.
The course is mainly aimed at students with certain French language skills, French majors in the wine or food and beverage trade industry, and French majors interested in wine. Students from other majors who are interested in French knowledge in wine-related industries are also welcome to study.
The main goal of the course is to help learners master common wine industry terms and practical skills in wine tasting, so as to have adaptability to the wine industry; learners can further master wine import and export by watching course videos, completing exercises after class, and participating in discussions. The basic knowledge and process of trade and management help learners to plan their career development in the long-term, and eventually educate them to be a "French-speaking wine trade management talent" who can undertake many jobs in the wine industry. In addition, this course also hopes to cultivate learners' autonomous learning ability, collaborative spirit and practical ability through flipped classroom based on pre-class preview research.
