Overview

Course Background

The Irreproducible Woodcut Print is a special woodblock print developed on the basis of Yunnan folk printmaking, colorful visual symbols and culture, which flourished in the 1980s and 1990s and continues to this day. The special production method of carving while printing, and the multi-colored plate forming the artistic effect and natural plate destruction are the artistic charm of the Irreproducible Woodcut Print.

 

 On this basis, the National Online Public Liberal Studies Course “Dancing with the Graver-Appreciation and Application of Yunnan Irreproducible Woodcut Prints” is a special course that fully use characteristics of flexibility and convenience, easy participation and rich effects of the Irreproducible Woodcut Print and the course is open to the whole country and the world. It is hoped that through the promotion of the course, more people will feel and master the special artistic charm from the easy understanding and practice, realize the industrial function, experience the practical aesthetic education and cognitive appreciation ability, so as to form artistic ability and enrich spiritual life.

Course objectives

1. Understand the basic theoretical knowledge of the Irreproducible Woodcut Print, the current state of creation, and the law of creation.

2. Master the printing technique and the creation process of the Irreproducible Woodcut Print.

3. Cultivate students' innovative thinking and ability to update their artistic concepts so that students have good cultural and artistic quality when serving society.

4. To stimulate students' interest and naturally integrate their characteristics and interests into the preservation, transmission, application and promotion of outstanding Chinese culture.

Course Features

1. The course content is supported by a wealth of theoretical knowledge, and is aided by easy-to-learn and very interesting pragmatic content.

2. Using the rich and colorful local cultural atmosphere of the Studying and Inheriting Museum for the Mekong Sub-basin Ethnic and Folk Culture of Yuxi Normal university and the simulated inheritance platform as the filming location, suitable backgrounds were chosen according to the different contents, which not only match the course but also enhance the view of the course video.

3. The course is based on the transmission and innovation of Yunnan's local culture and the practical education of contemporary university students in aesthetic education.
