Construction technology is a core technical course of construction engineering technology course. Its aim is to cultivate the students’ abilities of analyzing and solving problems related to construction technology in projects. Its task is to discover the general rules of construction technology, technology and theory of various types of work projects, and development of new technology and skills in construction, to let students obtain the fundamental knowledge, theory and decision making strategies of construction, obtain the abilities of solving problems.
Upon successful completion of the course students will be able to: understand the fundamental knowledge, methods and theories of construction, select suitable construction methods and equipment according to the characters and condition of works, write construction method statements, analyze and solve problems in project management.
