Smart grid big data is the organic integration of multi data sources, multi fields and cross space-time data in power system and related fields. According to the technical process and links of smart grid big data, this course covers the following aspects: the value of big data theory and technology in smart grid, the acquisition and analysis of smart grid data, mathematical statistics and data mining, machine learning and in-depth learning and other common research means of smart grid big data, and the leading role of smart grid big data in detection, prediction and risk management and control The supporting function of domain. The course introduces the relevant concepts, theoretical basis, research methods and some simulation models. There are 25 courses in total. Through the study of this course, students can understand the important role of big data understanding and analysis in the development of smart grid, and can learn from the modeling and simulation process of application cases to provide auxiliary decision-making schemes for some cases in key application fields of power grid.
Smart grid big data course will be delivered by Associate Professor Zhang Tao, who has rich teaching experience, a background in computer and control disciplines, and the research foundation in smart grid. Dr. Tao Zhang graduated from Northwestern Polytechnical University and had been a visiting scholar at the University of California, San Diego for one year.
