'International Shipping English' is a Chinese-English bilingual course, which has the characteristics of having a well-founded course construction, strong teaching team and wide target audience, etc.:
1. As a bilingual (Chinese and English) Course
'International Shipping English' has cooperated with China Merchants Group to provide training services for port and shipping executives in 13 countries. This course was strongly request by the trainees to be able to continue the study after they return to their home countries, and authorize them to use this course to train company staffs.
2. A well-established course
(1) The Port and Shipping Management Major in Shenzhen Polytechnic is a national demonstration major. 'International Shipping English 'is one of the core courses of this major;
(2) In 2015, this major was rated ‘excellent resource open course’ by the Guangdong Higher Education Department. In 2011, it was rated ‘excellent course’ by the China Transportation Teaching Steering Committee;
(3) The textbook of ‘Port and Shipping Business English’, which was firstly published in 2009 is based on the idea of ‘work-study integration’, and was both filling educational gaps and highly valued by professionals in vocational colleges；

3. A Professional Teaching Team
The person in charge of the course is Shenzhen CPPCC member, Shenzhen Port Association board member, Shenzhen Maritime Association board member, and expert of the China Transportation Association Shared Transportation Expert Committee.
