  • A compact course that discusses a number of possible emergencies and what to do if they occur when out in the wilderness. Some may be fine with ongoing monitoring or field treatment while others require evacuation. This practical course helps learners tell the difference.
  • Great information and very well written and produced course that provides the information that may prove invaluable in a life and death situation

Wilderness First Aid - Medical Emergencies on Coursera, offered by the University of Colorado System, provides crucial knowledge for addressing medical issues in the wild. The course content is informative, but my experience soured when, despite being told it was free, I was later asked to pay for the certificate. This left me feeling disappointed and somewhat cheated by the initially incorrect information.
