This course is designed for the student who seeks to acquire beginning basic skills in music theory. No knowledge of music or music theory is required. The course covers: basic music notation, rhythm and meter, scales, key signatures, intervals and inversions, triads, seventh chords, inversions of chords, and basic music analysis. This course is not required for music majors.
