Prerequisite: ASLA 060A. This course is designed to give students the opportunity to expand expressive and receptive skills in American Sign Language begun in ASL060A by providing vocabulary and grammar knowledge to achieve intermediate proficiency in the language and by offering materials to deepen their knowledge and understanding of Deaf culture and history. Topics covered include conversation strategies, opinions, complaints, arguments, storytelling-handshape stories, ASL stories, and community activities.
