Overview

This course focuses on written communication skills with emphasis on clear, concise writing. It presents techniques for gathering, organizing, analyzing, and preparing information for decision making. It develops analytical thinking skills by providing practical training in writing assignments, including business letters, memos, and reports. It also explores the impact of cultural differences on business communication in the modern business organization. Students develop further skills in listening and speaking through oral presentations. Prerequisites: ENGL V01A. Transfer credit: CSU. C-ID: BUS 115.
