Welcome!
My name is Ron Wehrens and I'ma pharmacist from the Netherlands with 30 years of hands-on experience in pharmaceutical and medical supply management in developing countries. In case you are interested, you'll find my CV available for download with the first lecture.
Having done 193 international consultancy missions tomore than 30 countries (now March 2023 I’m in Kyrgyzstan) Ihave workedwith hundreds of health workers, logisticians, legislators, finance people and politicians from all kinds of cultural backgrounds. Ihave learned a lot from these people, for example thatimprovements can oftenbe made with relatively simple and low-cost interventions. But I also observedthat a lot of the skills and tricks that work best were never taught in Medical or Pharmacy school.
In this course you will learn many of these techniques and it is my sincere aim to inspire you to use them to further improve your program.Often times they are common-sense concepts andtricks which once seen can never be forgotten.
I hope you will findthis course inspiring and that it will help you improving people’s access to medicines!
Irecommend that youenable the subtitles (captions) to these video-lecturesas this will make it easier to get the message, even with the volume turned down.
