Overview
Syllabus
- Welcome to the Data Scientist Nanodegree Program
- Introduction to Data Science
- Learn the data science process, including how to build effective data visualizations, and how to communicate with various stakeholders.
- Software Engineering
- Software engineering skills are increasingly important for data scientists. In this course, you'll learn best practices for writing software. Then you'll work on your software skills by coding a Python package and a web data dashboard.
- Data Engineering
- In data engineering for data scientists, you will practice building ETL, NLP, and machine learning pipelines. This will prepare you for the project with our industry partner Figure 8.
- Experimental Design and Recommendations
- Learn to design experiments and analyze A/B test results. Explore approaches for building recommendation systems.
- Data Scientist Capstone
- Leverage what you’ve learned throughout the program to build your own open-ended Data Science project. This project will serve as a demonstration of your valuable abilities as a Data Scientist.

Udacity's Data Scientist Nanodegree program is their advanced certificate in the series. The very first project forced me to pull together all of my Python EDA and modelling skills -- plus load it all to Github and write a blog post on the topic I covered. And that was only the first major project! This is exactly the type of detailed coursed that I wanted to have.

The Nanodegree is very oriented to real life and a true fast track to upskill the data science capabilities. The tips and best practices presented in the classes and mainly in the project reviews are the highlights of the program. The curriculum is truly well designed and covers the daily main tasks of a data scientist.

The course is information-packed and knowledge-full. The hands-on mode of teaching makes it even more interesting, as the student confirms every tid bit on his own, as he studies along. Kudos to the Udacity team!"

"This program has given me a new way of thinking towards a problem and has given me hope that I can do what I wanted to do."

I am loving the program so far. Not only are my coding skills improving, but I am getting knowledge about other applicable skills such as presenting my findings, writing professional and understandable code, and what's required for working with teams in a workplace. It has definitely surpassed my expectations and I am confident of applying for data scientist roles soon as I am done with the course."

The program is excellent! I enjoyed it more than I expected. There's so much that I was able to learn in a small amount of time. I loved the practical approach to everything. Doing work in notebooks rather than studying theory was very enjoyable.

This program has encouraged me to be a part of the data science community. The first project was to publish an article in a blog, and I am so glad I did it, I am connecting with other people because of that as I have never had before.

It was fantastic and above my expectations, review system is best for those who are introvert person, And I'm one of those, proud to be a part of Udacity's student.
