ABOUT THE COURSE:The Law of Sea and Maritime Law is part of International Law. This field of law has its own rules relating to jurisdiction and procedure. Classically, the Law of Sea is part of customary practices by the nations recognized by International Law and Maritime law was a species of commercial law ( Lex Mercatoria), and in many countries it is still treated assuch. Thus, this course includes topics such as charter parties,carriage of goods and related conventions. This course is framed for an in-depth study on the Law of Sea and Maritime Law.INTENDED AUDIENCE: Undergraduate, Post graduate students.PREREQUISITES: Basic understanding of International law
