The course employs different perspectives from alternative schools of thoughts to explain the development and structure of the institutions of capitalist economies and their relationship to social and political forces. The study of texts and commentaries will help the students to have a better understanding. The course outline the concept and structure of capitalism and the role of state in the evolution of capitalist economy.
