ABOUT THE COURSE:Starting with a brief history of the evolution of Additive Manufacturing (AM), we will explore the AM technology landscape according to ASTM standard. Then we will learn to identify the various value additions of AM in specific. Equipped with the knowledge of the wide variety and possibilities of AM, we will now look at the various applications that have been developed using AM. We will cover different industries and geographical locations during this exercise. We will then discuss the topics of materials in AM before concluding with a discussion on the topics of Design, Process Control in AM.INTENDED AUDIENCE: Engineering students in any branch.INDUSTRY SUPPORT: Manufacturing and Design Industries in Aerospace, Defense, automotive, oil and gas, medical, tooling
