India has emerged as a power to reckon with in world affairs. As India rises in the world order, it should not only visualize its interests, strategies and vision with great clarity but also communicate them effectively to the world. This course offers a comprehensive overview of India’s foreign policy, bilateral relations with other nations, regional and international organizations etc. It gives insights about changing contours of the world politics and India’s evolving images of the world. It imparts knowledge about India as a rising economic powerhouse, nuclear-armed state and as an important regional power also. The course engages discussion and analysis of the key contemporary global issues such as the proliferation of nuclear weapons, ecological issues, international terrorism, migration and human security. In fact, it is a comprehensive course which is intended to make you aware at an advanced academic level about the theoretical issues and specific themes that are central to India’s World view and Vice versa.
