ABOUT THE COURSE:‘Tehai’ a vital element in Tabla playing enriches the performance with its rhythmic complexity, aesthetic beauty and technical aspet. The course will focus on basic knowledge of Tehai, deep understanding of the concept of ‘Tehai’, enhancing skill and knowledge of ‘Tehai’ and its formation. The course will help students to compose various Tehais in different metric cycles with different pauses. They will also learn about Tehai’s advance forms such as Farmaishai Tukda, Farmaishai Chakradar, Kamali Chakradar and Nauhakka.INTENDED AUDIENCE: Aspiring Tabla Players, Tabla Students, Vocalists, Instrumentalists etc.PREREQUISITES: Intermediate (12th) with Music/ Tabla subject or 3 to 5 experience of Tabla playing.
