ABOUT THE COURSE:The course will start with the fundamental principle of climate-responsive architecture. The prime objective of the course is to give a comprehensive understanding of building operational energy consumption and conservation principles. The course is broadly classified into two sections. In the first part, the fundamentals of building physics are introduced, along with energy simulation of buildings and ECBC guidelines compliance. The second part deals with building energy conservation through passive technology adaptation, energy auditing, and green energy generation. The course will prepare the audience with the basic levels of building energy audit certification courses provided by GRIHA and LEED. The participant will become acquainted with the building energy auditing procedures.INTENDED AUDIENCE: Undergraduate and postgraduate Students of ArchitecturePREREQUISITES: The course is preferred for third-year architecture students.
