This course aims at developing and promoting skill based education. An important goal is to create awareness in responding to the needs and challenges of the contemporary society. Hence this syllabus is created keeping in mind the changing nature of the educational, institutions, workplace ,legal systems ,health issues etc. This course will provide the students the nature of applied psychology, it reviews basic research designs and data collection methods. This course will also cover how social psychology can be applied to difference areas of like environment, population diversity, legal system ,work, health, sports and media. This course also consists of steps involved in the design, implementation and evaluation of programmatic intervention. Objectives of this course are:1. To develop foundation for the basic principles of applied social psychology.2. To obtain knowledge about research methods in applied social psychology3. To help students to understand steps involves in implementations of intervention.4. To make students aware about how social psychological research have been applied to address social problems.
