In this course we will see how management began as a discipline, what are the building blocks of management in organizations (processes and projects), and how to analyze external environment and internal capabilities. This course was developed for professionals from any area or industry to learn the basics of contemporary Global Supply Chain Management to improve its management and understanding of current affairs and future trends. There is no mandatory prerequisite, but having some business experience will help participants make the most of the proposal of video clips, cases, texts, analyses, and content. From a unique approach, it adopts a strategic approach to the management of global supply chains. Such an approach will be useful even if the participant is not actively involved in supply chain management decisions because the knowledge acquired and developed will make participants better interlocutors in broad discussions involving supply chains that they may take part in their organizations.

This course was developed for professionals from any area who wish to improve their knowledge of strategy and who intend to apply this knowledge to their personal and professional life. The art and science of strategy is important because it offers tools to support decision making in volatile, uncertain, chaotic, and ambiguous scenarios. As a strategist, you will need to make decisions with information incomplete and often contradictory. The lack of access to information can be partially addressed with the analysis techniques that you will learn in this course. This course will be focused and will offer some of the most important tools for the elaboration of the strategy and will develop your ability to use them.
