Textures in Adobe Illustrator: Surface Pattern Design for Beginners

Texture is a beautiful element of art. In this class, we will explore texture as a way to give that "certain feel" to your digital artwork, working seamlessly between your traditional and digital work.

You will be creating a repeating pattern tile for this class! 

There are several things we will cover to add textures to your pattern - we will: 

• Vectorize watercolor and pencil for texture
• Work with masks
• Use brushes and learn drawing modes
• Create texture overlays 

This class is great for beginners and seasoned Adobe Illustrator artists! My hope is that it can give you tools to begin thinking about how you can give the specific character you've been wanting to add to your work, be it patterns, illustrations, or brand materials.
