Hello and thank you for joining me here! This class is a continuation of my Sketchbook Explorations series and is specially for those looking to start a creative sketchbook practice. In this class, we explore 8 colorful and simple watercolor patterns.
Even if you are a beginner who has not tried watercolors yet, there is a section where we cover all the basics that you need to know to get started with the medium and also some fun tips and tricks related to color combinations and compositions.Too often, we tape down that expensive paper and stare at it blankly because we are scared to 'ruin' it. With sketchbooks, its kind of personal so you can make all the mistakes you want and learn in the process. Also, having a regular sketchbook practice has helped me develop my skills as a doodle artist immensely and they are also my go-to inspiration sources on days when I can't think of a good enough reason to paint!
You dont need a specific brand or professional grade supplies for this class. Start with whatever you have - my only recommendation is to go for 100 pc cotton watercolor paper. I am using just one size 6 brush for most of the projects and I will be sharing all the details about the colors being used in each one! As simple as that! So dive in and lets create some gorgeous patterns!
