In today’s class I’ll be sharing with you how I paint a vanilla cupcake topped with light strawberry cream and fresh berries garnished with a couple of chocolate covered pretzel sticks. This is a slight continuation of my previous class on how I draw and paint cupcakes which you can check out here
This class will be formatted as a paint with me where I’ll be taking you through step by step of painting each element from start to completion. However feel free to customise any of the elements using the drawing techniques that I mentioned in the previous class. You can also customise the flavours of the cake and frosting as well, by using the same technique but using different colours! With this said though, I will still provide an outline for you to download, so you can also paint along to my original painting if you choose to!
This class is aimed for intermediate students, who has a fair bit of experience with watercolours and controlling the paint, but if you’re a beginner and you’re interested in learning, you can always join the class. Like always, I tend to skip through certain parts of the painting where my hand is inactive or off the camera, so I will most probably be painting a bit faster. Which is why I would always recommend for students to watch the lesson first before painting along and pause in between steps so you can work in your own time, without the feeling of being rushed.
This class is quite a long one, but I tried to divide the class into shorter lessons so it’s easier to follow, and of course you can take breaks between the lessons and come back to when you’re ready!
Before we begin, here is the list of outline so you know what to expect of the class :))
