Intuitive Drawing: Illustrate Your Own Ink Fairy Tale

Have ever wondered if you could use your drawing to know more about yourself? What if you could ask questions or manifest things in your life through your art?

Well, wonder no more! In this super relaxing and powerful class you will learn how to translate your dreams, wishes, thoughts and feelings into your drawings, while practicing basic and advanced line art and inking techniques. You will visit your own subconscious fairy tale garden, pour that magic on your paper, and then understand all the meanings and messages hidden in it. Take a sip of your magic juices and let’s go!!

This is more than just a drawing class. It’s a class about yourself. Your magic, your dreams, your super powers. After this class, you will perceive your art in a different way, with more meaning and intention. You will be able to use your art as a tool to really learn more about yourself and your feelings. 

OVERVIEW

• Visualization Exercise | In this lesson we will set up an intention for our drawing and practice tuning in with our subconscious mind.
• Concept Creation | We will create a word map based on the previous exercise, combine the main elements into a composition for your drawing and research reference pictures based on your ideas.
• Sketching and Outlining | It’s time to draw those awesome ideas using our reference pictures. Together we will sketch with pencil and then outline the drawing with ink. 
• Inking Techniques | Pause on the drawing for some technical tips! Here you will learn 4 super useful inking techniques that I use in most of my drawings. You will learn how to do stippling, hatching, cross hatching and angled lines to create meaningful textures, contrast and depth in your artwork.
• Storytelling Through The Details | Every detail matters! Now it’s time to fill up our drawings with creative textures and shadows. You will see me apply those 4 inking techniques to my drawing so you can apply them as you wish on yours. 
• Interpreting Your Drawing | You will learn how to create a story for your drawing, understand the meanings of each individual element based on your subconscious mind and life experience, and how to find powerful positive messages that were designed from you to yourself! Here you will be able to communicate with the wisest part of yourself through your drawing in a very powerful conversation, while I get raw and vulnerable with you, sharing everything my drawing is trying to tell me! Crazy stuff! You will see how deep we can go when we ask the right questions, and by doing this we will practice lots of self love and self awareness. :)

SHOPPING LIST

• Fineline ink pens, new and old ones (Basic/Intermediate: 01, 03. Advanced: 003, 005, 01)
• Drawing paper (Suggestion: bristol paper or mixed media paper) 
• Sketching pencil (Avoid the B pencils, go for hard ones. I’m using a 4H for this class)
• Eraser

Optional:

• Simple paper for the other exercises. Drawing paper is expensive, save that for your final drawing :)
• White gel pen (for details in the end)
• Ruler, compass… Any tools you might need depending on what you want to draw.
