In a nutshell, prototyping is all about designing a great user experience by testing out your ideas. As we cover the key concepts and best practices, you'll complete activities to create a paper prototype to improve the functionality of an appliance in your kitchen. We'll also cover the basics of digital prototyping in Adobe Xd. From there, you'll be able to apply the prototyping approach in many circumstances, from digital interfaces to physical tools and products.

What is a prototype?
A prototype is an easy, cheap, and efficient way to test ideas quickly. The best thing is, you don't need a lot of time to create an effective prototype, but it will be instrumental in improving how you design things for greater positive impact. We'll cover how to build a thoughtful prototype and test it with real users.
At the end of this class you will have a tested paper prototype that can be applied to improve how your kitchen works. You will also have the opportunity to turn your paper prototype into a functioning digital wireframe in Adobe Xd.
