This class is for all of you who want or/and need to create patterns in Photoshop. It's the best software to use if you want to make patterns out of your paintings, drawings or photographs, but if you ever tried to use it for pattern making (or you use it regulary) you know how annoying it can be to make the calculations again and again to make the repeat correct! If you have seen my previous class, you already know that I'm a fan of easy and quick techniques, smart objects AND watercolour. This class is the combination of all of it! I will teach you my way of making repeat patterns in Photoshop with maximum control & minimum of maths using a few easy tricks. For those of you who don't know what I mean by "calculations" I included a short video about creating patterns in a "traditional way".
No matter if you already know how to make repeat patterns in Photoshop and just want to learn new tricks or you are a total newbie in this field, this class is for you!
I use Adobe Photoshop Creative Cloud for Windows, but for this class it shouldn't really make a difference if you have a previous version of the Photoshop or/and you work on Mac. The shortcuts introduced in the video lessons work for PC, but in the class materials you will find a pdf with their equivalents for Mac.
In this class you will learn:
- how the repeats work and how to create them in a "traditional" way
- how to make patterns quicker and easier using my "inverse" technique
- how to create half drop repeats in both techniques
- and how to take a maximum advantage of smart objects in the pattern making!
What you will need:
Below are a few of the tools that you need for this class.

Adobe Photoshop (begin a free trial here)
