Color Grading: RAW vs LOG in Film & Video

via Skillshare

Overview

If you’ve always wondered what the difference between RAW, LOG and a normal camera shooting profile is then you’re in the right place.

In this course we’ll go over:

  • What is RAW?
  • What is LOG?
  • What is a normal camera color profile?
  • What is Dynamic Range? And more!

Not only will we learn what all these mean but we’ll actually look through footage and compare and contrast what’s doable in a grade when you shoot using any of these modes. By the end of the class you’ll have a clear understanding of why you may use one over the other, what’s possible in the grade and have one more skill in your toolset on your journey to becoming a successful colorist.
