In this next class on Beginner Figure Drawing we start taking a look at a more advanced area of figure drawing and that is Clothing and Drapery. This is a very complex topic, and way too big for only one lesson, so this class is going to act as an introduction to the topic covering the basics of clothing and drapery construction and gesture. We'll have a closer look as to how folds are created and how they relate to the figure, as well as cover the different types of folds we are going to see. As always, we'll start with a lecture, followed by some demonstrations and at the end there will be a 20 minute timed drawing exercise session for you to complete. This can be a very tricky and frustrating area for beginner artists, so be patient with yourself in this more advanced class, and try to have fun with it!Â
