In this series of tutorials, we'll learn how to quickly get up and running with modeling, texturing, lighting and rendering in 3ds Max. We'll start off by learning how to navigate in the viewports and how to create basic shapes using splines. Then we'll jump into some basic modeling techniques like duplicating, attaching, and smoothing geometry. After that, we'll discuss some of the most commonly used modeling tools like extrude, bridge, chamfer, and inset. Then we'll take a look at the process of unwrapping the UVs of the arcade cabinet to allow us to apply a custom texture. We'll even discuss how to import that UV into Photoshop to help us create our texture. Then we'll wrap up the tutorial by working with materials, lights, and setting up our rendering environment. Software required: 3ds Max 2015, Photoshop CS4.
