Throughout this SolidWorks tutorial we'll dive into the creation of a prairie windmill vane. This tutorial is not only the virtual construction of a vintage windmill vane assembly but a demonstration of the SolidWorks weldment tool, its various options and other tools and features along the way. The weldment tool offers design automation where solid body structural members are created along a sketched lattice. These bodies can be trimmed at intersections with other created solid bodies and weld beads applied using various options. We'll also be looking at sheet metal design, the swept boss/base feature toolbox fasteners, decals of company logos and more. And of course I will also be sharing with you some tips and tricks along the way. By the end of this SolidWorks training, you'll gain the knowledge on how, when and where to apply these tools and options to your own projects. Software required: SolidWorks 2012 and higher.
