Muscle related injuries are one of the most common sports related injuries in youth athletics. This lecture will discuss three of the most common muscle related injuries: cramps, strains and contusions. Proper diagnosis of these injuries is pertinent for proper treatment and management. Discussions will include the physical examination, diagnosis, and treatment of these three injuries through the perspective of a physician, physical therapist and athletic trainer.
