This course explores the legal system including basic legal terminology, sources of law, legal reasoning, federalism, court structure, the rules of procedure, and ethical standards for lawyers and legal assistants. This course includes substantive introduction to the law of contracts, torts, crimes, common law, and the U.S. Constitution. Field trips may be required. Recommended Prep: ENGL R101 or ENGL R101H.
