Overview

The components involved in reasoning and problem-solving from a psychological perspective. These include the assessment of the different facets of the critical thinking process, such as perception, learning, memory, thought and language, reasoning, argument, hypothesis-testing, likelihood and uncertainty, decision-making (logical fallacies, heuristics, cognitive distortions), problem-solving, creativity, and behavior modification. This course also contains a practical application element involving systematic introspection and analysis of one's own cognitive processes.
