LING 1 - Introduction to Linguistic Analysis Degree Applicable, CSU, UC The course explores properties of human language by focusing on phonetic, phonological, morphological, syntactic, and semantic structures and analysis. It is an introduction to the theory and methods of linguistics as well as to the nature and form of grammar. It includes an introduction to pragmatics as well as a brief overview of the significance of natural language processing and the process of constructing artificial languages (conlangs).
