MATH 130 - College Algebra Degree Applicable, CSU, UC, IGETC Prerequisite: MATH 71 or MATH 71B or appropriate placement [NOTE: Students may also choose to take a linked MATH 130 + MATH 13 corequisite pair for extra support.] College-level Algebra course for non-STEM majors. This course covers polynomial, rational, and radical expressions; factoring of polynomials, complex numbers; exponents; linear, quadratic, rational, exponential and logarithmic functions: graphing, expressions, equations and their applications; linear and nonlinear inequalities; theory of polynomial equations; systems of linear and quadratic equations.
